Hello, Future Clients.

First off, can I just mention how incredibly lucky I am to have so many clients. I see an average of 18-22 clients a day. That is so many life stories— the good, the bad, and the sad. I love it. I think the world would be a better place if we could all relate to one another. After all my years in lashing, I have learned how similar everyone truly is. It has taken a ton of pressure off of myself.

With that being said, I am one person. I wish I could take on every single person who would love an appointment, I really do. I will be the first one to admit that I am T E R R I B L E at answering telephone calls. I respond faster with a text, typical millennial.

So future client of mine, P L E A S E feel free to just shoot me a text. My studio has concrete walls since we are on a lower level so receiving and making telephone calls can be difficult. Text me at any time, any day, and if I am busy or it is late— I will S T I L L answer if I can. I find this part of being a sole business owner.

So blow my phone up- its ok!

Battling Covid-19, together !

Wow, its already December of 2020 and we are almost at a year mark of battling the struggles Covid-19 has brought to ALL of us. We appreciate all of you during a time like this. We love being a small part in each one of your lives— it brings us joy.

Here are some reminders on how we will keep our studio safe for our clients during a time like this.

  1. We are appointment ONLY. This will limit how many customers are in our studio at one time.

  2. We have ALWAYS been a very sanitary studio and will continue to be.

  3. A Covid-19 plan will be hung outside our door with our plans if exposure happens.

  4. We will keep our clients “in-the-know” every step of the way.

  5. We will be continuing to follow CDC Guidelines AND the laws in place by Governor Tim Walz

TIPS

Upkeep on your extensions is incredibly important so here are some tips:

  1. Brush, brush, brush those extensions to minimize them tangling.

  2. Clean those extensions. You can Google and find the best way to clean them that fits your needs. There are quite a few different ways and methods you can choose from!

  3. Minimize that eye make-up! The main goal in having eyelash extensions is to minimize your everyday makeup routine. Constantly applying and removing eye makeup can really help your extensions last longer.

  4. DO NOT PICK AT YOUR EXTENSIONS. This is the number one tip to remember. Picking and constantly touching your extensions will cause harm to your natural eyelashes!

  5. Please try to ditch the “sleeping on your face.” Your extensions will thank you.

  6. Take extension breaks! I know- not what you want to hear but The Lash Boutique wants to ensure that your natural lashes are doing great too! We can offer great input on when a good time to take a break to help regrow your natural lashes. We suggest breaks every 8-12 months!

  7. Be careful around anything hot! You’re totally okay with cooking that casserole, just don’t stare at it too long while its in the oven.

The Suite

Our suite is located on the lower level in a strip mall on the infamous Grand Ave in Saint Paul, Minnesota!

We have two beds, side-by-side- with that being said, talking to one another is definitely going to happen. You are always welcome to bring headphones in and pop them in if you’re looking for a more relaxation feel.

The suite is professionally cleaned once a week.

We offer seating for anyone who would like to bring guests or children! We try to make everyone comfortable. There are magazines as well for guests.

Located in the corner is a sink, by law. Along with sanitation liquids for our tools.

We currently do not have Wifi — coming soon!

We also provide clean sheets, sanitation is key with having clientele filtering in and out.

Brands

After all my years and experience in lashing, I have found my perfect go-to brands for my clients.

The Lash Boutique uses 3 different brands on all of our clients. Eyelash Extensions have boomed in the last year and there have been many artists who are not correctly certified, simply because they don’t have the right training—therefore, cannot get certified products online.

The Lash Boutique uses synthetic mink. flat eyelashes. Now- this makes zero sense to you so lets break this down…

There are two main materials that make up the extensions. There are mink eyelash extensions and there are synthetic mink eyelash extensions. With that being said, the mink eyelash extensions are real, YES REAL, fur- which is why they are so expensive. Unfortunately, it is also an easy way for artists to get clients to pay more for eyelash extensions because it simply has the word, “mink” in them. Realistically, how are you going to know if the artist is actually putting real mink on your eyelashes? Be sure you are really doing your research if you decide to go with mink eyelash extensions! Ask your artist what brand they use so you can really research them.

The second material is synthetic mink, which is what The Lash Boutique uses. Synthetic mink has the “softness” of real mink without the harm, and use, of animals. We also use synthetic mink to help keep the cost down for our clients. Since we are buying synthetic products, we can offer affordable services- YAY!

Now lets talk glue,

Glue is a huge debate in the eyelash extension world. With the lash extension service booming, more & more products are being made. You can literally buy eyelash extension glue off Amazon ( highly not suggested ) but it shows how easy one can get bad products. The Lash Boutique uses medical grade adhesive so our glue is safe near the eyes and skin!

Any any more questions about our products? — ask us!

We want you to be well informed of what your hard money is paying for!

The Process

The process of Eyelash Extensions is quite simple:

  1. Bring in some desirable photos for inspiration for your artist so they can understand what the ultimate look you’re going for.

  2. Please do not come with any makeup on your eyelashes and eyelids! This can hinder the process. If you need too, come 5-10 minutes earlier to remove your eye makeup.

  3. You are allowed to wear contacts but some find it easier, and more comfortable, to remove them for the process.

  4. After signing a release form, you will be asked to tie back any hair and to lie down onto the massage bed.

  5. You will be asked to look up, like you’re putting mascara on, so we can place an eye pad on your lower eyelashes. This ensures that your lower eyelashes do not get glued to your top eyelashes.

  6. The extension process will begin and takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes.

  7. The artists use medical grade adhesive, stitch glue, to place the extensions directly on top of your natural eyelash- one by one.

  8. After the process is complete, the artist will gently take an small fan to help the eyelash adhesive dry in a timely manner.
